Koçanlı Mansion is a 2500-year-old historical building located in Çandarlı, a holiday resort in Dikili district of Izmir. it was built in 1859 in order to protect especially girls from the raids of Greek bandits coming from Lesbos in 1820. The mansion, which attracts attention with its sheltered structure, was designed in accordance with the "Chios Type Housing" style in architecture.
As a result of the 1923 Lausanne Exchange, the Greek merchant who owned the mansion went to Lesbos Island and passed to the new owners. Koçanlı Mansion was later given to families from Greece, Kavala, and Diranic and became a three-digit apartment separated from each other by traditional walls.
with the restoration works initiated by the Municipality of Çandarlı between 2010 and 2014, it has been transformed into a boutique hotel in accordance with the period in which it was built. Dec.
