An ancient Monastery dating back to the 15th century, within the Etruscan walls of Cortona, renovated in keeping with tradition, preserving its original monastic structure.
The hotel consists of 36 rooms, the ancient cells of the monks, some of which were obtained from the ancient rooms of the Priors.
The original Monastery structure can be still perceived in the layout of the spaces, in the beamed or vaulted ceilings, and in the frescoes that have been restored.
The ancient friars refectory, surrounded by 17th-century frescoes and an 18th-century tapestry, is now home of Gli Affreschi Restaurant, where the Chef proposes a contemporary style of cooking enhancing the territory to be accompanied by a selection of about 300 labels, which make up the Monastery Cellar.
On the other hand, the ancient Roman cistern, dating back to the 17th century, houses an evocative Spa, Bagni di Bacco.
