This is a 16th century Renaissance palace, the former residence of the Counts of Maceda, located in the historic centre of Pontevedra. Inside, a stately carved stone staircase leads to its cosy rooms. The building, decorated with antiques and classic furniture of great value, combines regal, noble and stately styles, with references to rural dreams. A few kilometres away from the city it is possible to reach places such as the island of A Toxa, the beaches of Sanxenso or A Lanzada. The rooms preserve the same regal decoration as the rest of the hotel, with classic furniture in dark wood and warm tones. In the gastronomic aspect there is the "Casa do Barón" enxebre (typical restaurant) where traditional Galician cuisine is offered, with dishes such as the octopus á feira (with potatoes and paprika), the empanada del obrador (pie), a selection of Galician cheeses, zamburiñas á grella (small scallops) or baked scallops.
