The Hotel São João de Deus is located in the historic center of Elvas, a Portuguese city located just 12 kilometers from Badajoz. Given its border character, great importance was given to defensive constructions.

Examples of this are the Fortes da Graça and Santa Luzia and the Lines of the walls, part of which are integrated into the structure of the Hotel. The city of Elvas has a privileged situation due to the excellent road communications between the interior and the coast.
The construction of the Hotel was carried out respecting, as much as possible, the old structure of the Convent and the military Hospital. It has 56 double rooms, halls for meetings and celebrations, a wine cellar, set as a bar, and a swimming pool with excellent views.
The Breakfast Room has a capacity for 90 people in different locations, maintaining the structure of the former dining room of the Convent.
Vasco da Gama Hall with capacity for 500 people ideal for weddings, congresses and celebrations full of charm and refinement.
