Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before setting off for the Ngorongoro Crater—one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural wonders. Today’s journey covers approximately 145 km and takes around 3.5 hours, offering scenic views along the way as you prepare to experience the crater’s breathtaking landscapes and rich wildlife.

Upon arrival, descend to the crater floor for an unforgettable game viewing experience. Your journey takes you through lush highland forest, home to a variety of bird species and vibrant flora. Once on the crater floor, you’ll have the opportunity to observe a wide range of herbivores, along with the predators drawn to this rich concentration of wildlife.

Covering 260 square kilometers, the crater floor is remarkably diverse—featuring a permanent lake, expansive savannah, and patches of mature woodland. Enclosed by steep, forested walls that rise over 600 meters, the landscape forms a breathtaking natural amphitheater unlike anywhere else on Earth.

Afterwards, enjoy a scenic picnic lunch within the crater surroundings. Later in the day, ascend from the crater and continue your journey to your hotel in Karatu (approximately 45 km / 1.5-hour drive). Settle in for dinner and an overnight stay in Karatu.
